tie rod wobble?

Hello All. After a hard winter of potholes and freeze thaw, I have a nasty feeling in the front driver's side wheel of my 85 Turbo 245. There is a wobble that can be felt in the steering wheel that gets worse with braking. Could this be the tie rod end in need of replacement? Or something else? All input gratefully received. Thanks Brickboard. Warren
