Stereo? 1800

Hello,

The answer is no, but I sure wish there was.

If you do not want to hack up your dash(bless your soul), I have found 2 solutions and both are not cheap.

You can get a remote mounted CD player system and amplifier that has a small display that mounts under the dash and a remote control. I do not think you can get one with a radio however.

The other option is to have an old radio that fits, including an AM only radio, modified with modern electronics, AM/FM tuner and a auxiliary input. The place I use offers 45 watts per channel on a 4 speaker system. You can then plug an iPod into the auxiliary input. Using an iPod means you have to download your music to it, but I feel the benefit of no moving parts and hence no performance problems due to harsh driving conditions outweighs the extra hassle of downloading.

I think they make iPods with remote controls. I am currently putting one of the latter systems into a 1967 Volvo 1800. I am putting in a docking station so the iPod will automatically connect with no wires and will charge the iPod at the same time.
