.... or bypass overdrive either by dremeling out your existing solenoid or by buying IPD bypass kit. Overdrive is independent of tranny so swapping trannys would be an awful lot of work for nothing. Usually problem is electrical. Rarely mechanical. In any case subject of overdrive has been covered here on Brickboard a million and one times. Check.
