Sweating flame trap 700 1987

Hi folks,

I've decided to just baby my tranny and see if I can keep her going. So, on to another concern I've had for a week or so:

My vacuum hoses around the flame trap and intake are a mess. They will be replaced with my next order to FCP Groton. My flame trap has a 'sweat' of fresh oil on it after I've driven my car for a little while, and wondered if that was normal. If not, will replacing the constricted/leaky/brittle hoses fix this, or is this indicative of a breather box problem? My breather box is original to the car, I cleaned it two months ago by reaming out the holes.

Thanks!

Ari

EDIT: I have some Gunk motor flush I will soak the breather box in, if you folks suggest it.
