Ck out the link.

My 245 heat gauge was going high - nearly to the red, then a bit lower than mid - then settling back mostly right in the middle. At no time was it actually getting hot.

Done the fix, and the temp gauge registers slightly on both sides of the middle point when fully warm.

Easy fix. Now I know what my real temp is.
