Hi Guys:
The starter on my 90 740 GLE 16 Valve has been changed 3 times the last 1 1/2
years. I suspect that the right brand/model is not being put in the car by the mechanic as after a few months the unit starts faultering (no crank when hot and now happened also with the car cold having to bang the unit for the car to crank). I was told that there are 5 units that fit in the car:
Bosch EV 12V 2KW , Bosch DW 12 V 1.4 KW , Bosch GF 12 V 1.1 KW ,Hitachi 12V 1.4KW 114-232 and Hitachi 12V 2.0 KW S 13-91.
What would be the best choice?
