Our bought new 1991 745 is also of Belgium (Ghent) construction. They've been building Volvo cars there since the 60's, so hopefully they know what they're doing.
We have lots of stickers: Underhood by the passenger headlight is the stamped metal one with VIN, GVW and lots of codes in the right column which have not been deciphered. Also underhood on the strut behind the passenger side shock tower is a white sticker containing emissions and timing data. On the front bulkhead by the driver's headlight is a large metal stamping of six 1" tall numbers. I wonder what this is, the body/chassis number? That would be consistent with the VIN and chassis number confusion with 122's.
On the drivers door is a white sticker, again with the VIN and GVW and slso presenting EPA boilerplate statements. There is also a bar code on this sticker. Maybe the bar code has all the mechanical information mentioned earlier?
On the pillar between the 2 doors on the driver side is a statement about SRS. I think it was pretty new technology in 1991.
On the front passenger door is another whitel sticker with tire loading and inflation recommendations.
Clearly I have too much time on my hands to have gone out and looked...
