Starting counting at Y (of YV1...) of your VIN, the 11th character indicates the location of the manufacturing plant:
0 = Kalmar/Sweden
1 = Torslanda/Sweden (1983-1991)
1 = Gothenburg/Sweden (1992-1993)
2 = Volvo Europe
3 = Halifax/Canada
A = Uddevalia/Sweden
