Odd sound 700 1987

Hey Ari,

The pulleys being a bit misaligned can cause belts to make bizarre noises. Another thing to consider is the crank pulley. Since they are two metal sections separated by rubber, they do eventually fail. Due to their construction, they can also make weird belt slipping noises. Check your timing marks, if they don't line up with the line on the balancer, chances are the damper has slipping.

Regards, Jon
