yes.... just to clarify.. the fuel pump should run continuously and the motor will cut out every time that pump 'cycles'

Check the connections at that hot fuse... could be as simple as corroded connections at the fuse box itself. And said corrosion won't necessarily be visible. Clean them good. Make sure you have the correct amperage fuse in there. And I hope you kept your old fuel pumps.. they may well be fine if this problem is why you replaced them...
