but I there is more rust than visible (of course) that I found when I started disassembly.

I think the only thing I could do with the one I have now is slather it with rust converter and then epoxy and glass the thing. Even then I don't know what I would end up with. Also the grill pieces are not pristine.

I'm sure I can come up with something, it is available as a new part but hardly seems necessary for this project.
