B20 head studs, remove & replace 140-160

You're using studs and not bolts??

In any case I run a 7/16"-14 UNC tap into the holes to clean out any carbon, rust, dirt etc.
I always use OEM headbolts and I grease the threads and the underside of the bolt heads.
Then I torque them IAW the manual, clockwise from the center, first to 29 ft-lb, then to 58
and finally to 65 ft-lb.
Works OK for me
