hard starting when cold 140-160 1974

Hello,

It sounds like you have the K-jet Bosch injection(constant injection, no wires on the injectors)

The K-jet system relies on fuel pressure to open the injectors and has a fuel pressure modifing device called a control pressure regulator(sometimes called a warm up regulator).

And if you suspect fuel problems, the 1st thing you need to do after making sure your fuel pump is running is to hook up the proper style of fuel pressure gauge and check the pressure when fully cold before running the car, during warm up and when fully warm.

Do you have a fuel pressure gauge that goes up to 6 bar(90psi) and the correct adapters?
