No Start Condition on 1987 245

You have not convinced me of your ignition system integrity. The easy check is to put an inductive timing light on the wires, starting at the one that feeds the cap. (you are not checking for timing only for spark so shine the light on the hood or you hand or something like that) If you do not have a timing light pull the plug, ground it on the block somewhere and have an assistant check for a spark. Do not TOUCH THE SPARK PLUG!!!
Not to insult your intelligence but I might have tried that once and thought it would be nice to spare you the pain...
