Driving Light Wiring ( Yeah I know it's not a VOLVO problem , ... but it COULD be)

OK as far as I know ... with the driving lights on, they are not effected.... just the high beams switch back and forth from High beam to DRL and back again.

I spent a while today rewiring the lights according to the diagram that came with them. However, for some reason, if I hook up to the positive side of the battery there is either a bad connection or so much drain from the lighting system that the truck doesn't want to turn over ... disconnect the lights and reconnect the positive battery again and away she goes. I think that tomorrow I will head back to see the guy who did the original install and see if we can sort things out. Also the low beam on the drivers side .. the one we originally connected to has gone out ... may be just a bad connection time will tell. Anyway right now I am wired according to the directions with no hookup to the high beams.
