I think I know what the grease IPD includes with its kits really is.
They're always talking about the grease being water resistant. Well, it's awfully similar (virtually identical in color, texture, etc.) to marine bearing grease -- this is the stuff, e.g. Lubrimatic-brand, used (with a grease gun) to pack boat trailer hubs (not ordinary land trailer hubs) that are equipped with Bearing Buddy-style, pressurized "dust" covers. Trailer boaters will know what I'm talking about -- I just tried to describe this to land-lubbers the best way I could :-).
You can buy this grease (a green package, and comes in small and larger cartridges for such sized grease guns) in any marine supply shop ("chandlery").
Anyway, this grease is particularly tenacious to metal parts (to minimize corrosion if water penetrates the hub), so it will resist being washed away in a car suspension application.
Hope this helped.
