If your alternator belt gets loose the alternator won't deliver full output.
Then the battery can run down while driving.
The car won't start easily with a weak battery.

I'd replace the rubber mounts for your alternator they are only a few bucks
at FCP Groton, then make sure the belt is tensioned right.
Get never seez on the mounting and tensioner threads so you avoid some
pain next time.
