A new sound! SOLVED! 700 1992

While time passed and I was waiting for the sound to become more persistent, it became apparent that it was time for new belts. So I dutifully went to change them and found the adjuster bolt for the power steering pump rusted and broken. I decided to run over to the U-pull-it junk yard and get a replacement so I could put things back together properly and happened upon what appeared to be a brand new Volvo alternator in a recent arrival. Everything was new, including all the rubber bushings and such. For $10 I got my adjusting bolt and said alternator and put everything back together. Since I replaced the alternator the clicking sound has gone away. I surmise that my alternator was in the process of going bad and as such was not making the proper voltage/amperage at idle and would once you throttled up and causing relay's to have fits.
At least that is the rationale I came up with. Either way the sound is gone and the car has a new alternator.
On another note. There is a 940 wagon with Hydra rims and 205/?/16" tires in near new condition. In case anyone is looking for a set of those. They are in Saratoga Springs NY. If you are close by and interested drop me a line and I will check with the guy and see what he wants for them.
Thanks for all the help.
