OK forget the shop 200



I'd recommend getting a Bentley Manual. The 240 steering and suspension factory manuals are available as a PDF at k-jet.org. I also have them if the site is down. Also, have a breaker bar and some big manly sockets handy.

I'd basically plan on just removing the control arms and brackets and ball joints from the car. Then you're free to have your way with them. Four screws for each ball joint the strut tube, three screws for the rear control arm bracket, and one bolt at the front of the control arm.

The tapered studs from the ball joints and the outer tie rod ends can be popped out fairly easily (albeit violently!) with a small gear puller.

I'd plan on this taking a good couple days if it's your first time, as you'll need to shop to press out the rear control arm bushings... unless you go with polyurethane here.
