I saw a message on this topic but couldn't reply to it and I
wonder about the same thing. I can lift the front of the car
off the ground by jacking under the cross member (right behind
the plastic splash guard, looking from the front), but I can't
find a suitable point on the car to do the same thing from the
rear. I want to use jack stands under the jack points on the
side panel. I would rather not touch the IRS hardware (there is a
cross-member, which is part of the rear suspension, but I think
it's aluminum), and I'm not sure if jacking under the spring seat
in the middle would not damage the spring (isn't the rear leaf
spring made of plastic -or am I misremembering something?).
Any other ideas where to put a jack to safely lift the rear of
the car? The car is a 1998 V90 Wagon.
