Err... that can be a bit problem as the D-type flange will not fit on the J-type output. I discovered this the hard way.
There is a moderately rare small-diameter J flange available, but you need to consult with a true Guru to get one.
It may be an easier task to "upgrade" the small (1.75") shaft to the larger 2" shaft and having the rear section lengthened. I believe JohnMC used a 140 drive shaft for his hot-rod 544, There was some issue with the souped-up engine wrecking his U-joints. The large 140 U-joints were more up to the task.
