Defroster - Yes. Aric Datesman did it using a JC Whitney kit. I've been planning to do it myself and he sent me some photos of his very nice looking installation.

Depends on what mirror you need. I get lucky on eBay once and while, but $75.00+ is the usual going price

Chris Horn (Agent Strangelove) or Jim Morris (Jim_Morris) are the two guys I turn to when I need such things.

You can get some decent $15.00 clip-ons from JCWhitney as well, but they will not be "Volvo" mirrors.
