Idling Problem=Throttle Overun Valve Valve? 120-130

BRendan;

Your intermittent high idle symptoms can be due to linkage not returning (check and lube), false air getting by throttle shafts (rebush), centrifugal advance not returning (check and correct as necessary), but I seriously doubt they can be explained by (correctly called a:) Throttle Overun Valve "having broken away"...in that case, the idle wouldn't EVER come down below 2000 grand until you repaired the hole!
