Will colder weather make it harder to remove the head bolts (easier to break them off?) or to properly torque them in when replacing the head (again, worried about breaking them off)? Am concerned about the block shrinking up in the cold. To be clear, we are talking north Florida "cold" here, about 26 F at night, warming up to mid-50s during the day. Car is in a fully enclosed garage. Should not go below 40 in the garage. Not really Minnesota or Sweden type cold.
Should I put a 60watt bulb under the engine or under the hood to warm it up for a few hours before I begin work on it every day?
