AMP light on. 120-130

Read that carefully. My guess is that you are at condition #2 described by Ron.

If I recall correctly, the gist is that the bulb is normally off because it is getting voltage from both sides of the wire. The bulb lights if the circuit opens up on one side of the setup and grounds. If you lose alternator/generator ground, the bulb lights. If you lose the #1 fuse, the bulb also lights.

My AMP light came on while driving because one of the nuts on the alternator vibrated off. Your problem may simple be an insufficient ground on the regulator. Also be sure you have the correct regulator. You need a charging regulator not a voltage regulator
