Mixing Volvo brand coolant 700

I found some older, say 3 years, Volvo brand coolant on my "car stuff" shelf. The label is identical to the new, blue, stuff ($31/gallon!), the part number is the same, and the ingredients are the same - except for the lack of a "bittering agent" in the newer stuff. Only difference is that the older stuff is greenish, not the deep Volvo blue of the newer coolant. Seems like it should be okay to mix them. Do you guys think it should be okay, except for aesthetics?
