Maintenance records software - use Excel or similar

I do it like the rest of you:
1. A notebook in each car to record repairs and gasoline
2. A manila folder at home to save repair receipts
3. An Excel file with a separate page for each car. The spreadsheet is nice because you can instantly summarize your repairs and be horrified at what it costs to run a car. These are the columns I use:

Date Mileage Repair or maintenance Parts and supplies Parts Source Repair or Install Cost
