I have two '93s:
The one that lacks this feature (is more traditional) is earlier VIN...80769
The one with this new cable design is later VIN...84276

So sometime during the '93 run, it was changed. And the design does show up in my service manual, Volvo's (the green), Wiring Diagrams -- it's labeled "late edition", but no mention of what VIN was the transition. I'd like to find out -- where does your VIN fit? I'm interested in narrowing down the change point in VIN numbers.
