bought a beauty very cheap, it had been sitting for 2 years had some disconnected wires to the fuse brick, had no juice to the fuel pump plugged in working relay from my daily driver, no go, relay is good its in the dd as of now actually.i plugged the main fuel pump wire(yellow and red with the plastic plug-in) to fuse no. 6 labeled fuel pump main- the pump ran and the car ran excellent, BUT the pump runs all the time, naturally i wired it into the unused foglight switch,she ran great-this stopped working after 2 half hour commutes. replaced the jetronic computer with a known working one-tested it in the dd,and disconnected the main fuel pump from fuse 6 that still powers it constantly, now both pumps run when cranking the car and the car will run for a short amount of time very poorly the pumps run for a few seconds after the motor dies. i thought i knew all the tricks around these systems but this one has got me good. any ideas are much appreciated. the crank sensor also appears to be new, it has the white band and it looks cleaner than the rest of the engine bay.
