You might want to consider ditching the convenience idea and go with a real, modern alternator like the one wire delcos. They put out lots of amps and are trouble free. It may take some tinkering and some welding, but it is well worth it. Plus, they are under $90.00 new. Also, Ron sells a mounting kit at Swem for about $100.00
