I just bought a set for my 93 940n turbo from www.fcpgroton.com for even less. and I LOVE the things you can see so much better it's not even funny and that's with standard bulbs.
They do require rewiring. the plugs for your factory headlights will need to be cut off and you will need to crimp on some good connectors. If the 90 is the same as mine it takes the same square plug as a fan relay or radio supression relay ( I picked up 2 from the boneyard for each side so I'd have the heavy wires around. The plugs only have two heavy and two light wires in them ), I can't vouch for the colours on a 740, you'll need a volt meter to test the circuits.
