The Penata motors are *very* closely based on the automotive engines, the marine motors being basically just an offshoot of the car motor production. Although it started off the other way when Volvo approached the independent Pentaverken company to make engines for their cars.

But differences between the two are minimized. They should have the same oil pumps.
