Hi. I had the same problem on my wife's '93 a year ago. Tried a lot of things you did (except cleaning the AMM, which is dangerous*) -- finally the problem and cure was the connector to the AMM: I sprayed an electrical contract cleaner on the socket and plug, reconnected it, and it has been fine ever since.
Good advice from that other person, though -- never connect or disconnect the AMM plug while the engine is running. Do it only with the key off.

* Lots of the wrong sprays can damage the sensor wire's characteristics. Don't try to clean it. Besides, the AMM has a self-cleaning function -- a few seconds after shutoff, the AMM is delivered a high current flow that incandescents (verb?) the wire to burn off any impurities, so that it is clean and fresh the next time it runs.

Hope this helps.
