passenger-side tail-light problem 200 1992

Howdy Bryan,

For simplified diagrams, go to www.volviki.org, navigate to the 200 series and the year you need. Those are Mitchell's diagrams, not as much information as is provided on the Volvo schematics but much easier to read.

I am guessing that you are looking at fuses 15 and 16 where you see power on one fuse but not the other? Those two fuses are supposed to be jumpered together on the power side, with both white wires that feed them connected to fuse 15. One white wire comes from the head light relay, the other from the light switch:

The output side of those two fuses feed various circuits, including the left and right side front parking lights. Does the right front parking light work?

Here is a link to a simplified diagram, courtesy of Lucid, that shows the two fuses and their feed paths. On the output side of the fuses, where it says "etc.", you can see from the previous drawing that the bulb failure warning switch is included:

I think that should be enough information to isolate the problem. Post back and let us know the final outcome.

Mr. Shannon DeWolfe -- I've taken to using mister because my name misleads folks on the WWW. I am a 53 year old fat man. ;-)
