I am familiar with the process of adjusting toe in using a tape measure with the car on a flat level floor.
I have only done it after taking a measurement before component replacement. Measure the distance between two points on the tires and then adjusting to that measurement after new components are in place.
In this case my son had an outer tie rod end seperate and I made a street side repair. With no "before" measurments I can't set an "after".
What would be a reasonable difference between a distance of two points on the front edges and a distance between two corresponding points on the back edges of the tires to get a decent toe in setting?
Thanks,
Randy
