NO POWER please help 200

keep in mind it idles fine, but it feels like when I give it gas it is drowning the engine. When I give it a lot of gas it smells rich, sputters and or dies. Then it will crank back up with no problem, but still runs ruff when I give it gas. I think when I got down a hill and gave it less gas it did better, because it was idling at road speed. I think I will go to the junk yard tomorrow and get another air mass meter. what will be interchangeable with an 88?
