Value of '87 740 700 1987

Hi all,

I wanted to ask you your opinion on something - I'm about to get an '87 740 GLE sedan (build date of 6/87) from the original owner, who is a friend of mine. It has 142k miles, which you know is absolutely nothing for a Volvo, and runs really great. Amazingly it still has the original ZF automatic transmission that was known for failures in multiple European cars. The vehicle is in near-perfect condition with the exception of the falling headliner but it really doesn't matter to me.

I'm getting this 740 because my friend just wants to get rid of it and he said to make him an offer. With those low miles of 142k and a good exterior/average interior, how much do you think this car is worth? My personal guess would be about $800. Opinions are greatly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing them soon.
