If it is converted to 134, it will have different connections. They will have one large one on the accumulator. The old ones for R-12 are small fittings. R-134 will only fit R-134 fittings. I don't use the fittings on the compressor. Mine even on new compressor are for r-12. Use the ones on the accumulator. That should tell you what is in it. They are supposed to put a sticker saying what is in the car under the hood.
