I think I remember you or your dad recently doing the Compensation Board Jumper. Basically you gotta take out the cluster the same way... After that, The Websites that SCORRON pointed you to will walk you through it.
Just do this in a clean area...The Kitchen table is better than the greasey workbench.
Look carefully at the clear plastic toothed housing for all the broken bits of the old beige gear. Some bits get stuck in the teeth and that will mess up the nice job you just did in replacing the little gear.
