1. Torque converter lock up is an automatic function of the tranny whereby the TC no longer slips as it does at lower speeds. You will see and feel it as slight bump similar to a gear shift and a slight drop in rpm. I suppose it saves a bit of fuel and prevents the tranny/converter from overheating.

2. Sounds about normal.

3.Look in that well and I think you will see a drain hole somewhere.
