I bought the special little hose from GCP years ago - it has two diameters as the reservoir isn't the same size as the hard line leading to the master cylinder. DOn't know it that's any special rubber or not.

But it sonds like this isn't imminent, so just start up a little science experiment of your own. Get a little snippet of the hose, set it in a small container of brake fluid, and let it sit for a couple of weeks and see if it stays intact or turns into slime.
