I think you about covered it. I like the part about compensating for the crown in the road, I'd not thought of that. The difference radius is within 3% which the tire sites say is OK, so I don't see a huge problem. No worst than those toy spares they come with.

And a thumbs up for keeping your kids 240 in good enough shape to cruise the country, I get nervous when my daughter drive back and forth to school and that's less than 400 miles.
