Sudden no start, ignition? 1800 1971

Check all the fuses and contacts at the fuse box. The old ceramic fuses are fragile--perhaps the impact busted one. Check and clean the connections at the starter post too. Also make sure the impact didn't dislodge one of the grounds, either battery to chassis or engine block to chassis (by the exhaust collector).

I would also suspect the starter itself. Driving the car 10 feet (perhaps even with the parking brake on) isn't what that starter likes doing on a daily basis, so perhaps it decided to take an early and permanent retirement. I believe there are ways to check the starter independently--check Haynes or www.sw-em.com
