Spring vibration after doing the front shocks 700

'94 940 170K

I did the front shocks a few months ago and things went well. However, when turning the wheel the springs seem to jump a bit in their seat. They don't turn freely but hesitate as the strut assembly spins. The noise is very obvious when driving/turning. I changed the strut bearings, too.

I checked it out maonths ago and nothing seemed dangerous and I've finally gotten around to digging into it. I was going to take the springs off and try to mount them better. Any ideas what might be wrong?
