Sorry to hear that CA isn't up to driving her old 220. Maybe a 240 would fill the bill. In the meantime, relax and enjoy your new aquisition! For the alternator, I'd get it rebuilt. That way, the odds of having it fit in the space are pretty high when it gets back.
