Hello,

You could convert to Pertronix or some like replacement for the points, but I have had trouble down the road on these type of conversions.

If you can afford it, buy a 123Ignition ALL electronic ignition distributer.

There are no points to wear out, nor are there any mechanical advance mechanism parts that will wear out and change the timing either.
