Before you go removing the door panel let me ask, did just one window fail or all of them? If they're all quits, check fuse 10 and fuse 12. If the elements are still intact roll them around in the holder. If that brings them back clean up the contacts. On my wagon, fuse 12 for the relay (amongst other things) is the one that does this from time to time.
