UPDATE: PROBLEM SOLVED! (DOH!) 900 1993

Thanks guys for your help with this. You really went above and beyond.

You're not going to believe this -- well actually, yes you are.

When electrical systems are acting so irratically that their operation is defying logic, what is generally the cause. Of course, it is the ground.

As you know from my first post in this thread, I just completed a head gasket job on this car. (See where I'm going with this?)

Yes, it was the GROUND on the cylinder #2 plenum of the intake manifold (Doh!). It was on there, but not quite finger-tight. I noticed it when I was following Bruce's advice of checking the RS relay for buzzing. While I was connecting & disconnecting power to the injectors, I realized the ground was loose.

So now even though my Swedish brick is running like a Swiss watch, I feel like a complete dumbass.

Hopefully this thead will help someone else avoid this mistake in the future.
