240 transmission

Automatic or manual? Let's just say it is an automatic since the majority were.

Most guys here, including me, tend to belive that a rebuilt AW71 is rarely a good investment compared to a low mileage used one. It is rare that they fail at all so I have to ask what leads need a replacement tranny? The only common failure I have seen is when the tranny sucks coolant from the in radiator cooler for too long.

This is probably no help, but my suggestion would be to shop locally for such an item. Shipping runs in the hundreds and a rebuild is most often $800-1200 plus install. The AW71 and AW70 were produced for almost the entire life of the 240, the entire life of the 740 and 940 series, so supply of good cores is not a problem. Even a less-than-stellar salvage yard should have one or two available to take to a rebuilder.
