Thought they might have eliminated the clutch system that is( attached to the water pump). and replaced it with the elctric set-up like on my 92 740 t.
The simple test for the clutch is when it is cold should spin very easily when pushed by hand, when it gets warmer air coming across it the clutch becomes tighter and will take more push form your hand to turn it you should also hear the woooosh of the fan when you rev it up. That is the simple test to see if its working
